Brazil police make multiple arrests in Jaraguá do Sul and Sabáudia

The Santa Catarina State Police carried out several arrests on 9 June. In Jaraguá do Sul, officers detained a 36‑year‑old man who had been sentenced to more than 28 years for sexual assault of a minor, a 22‑year‑old who robbed a young woman at a bus stop, a 30‑year‑old who threatened SAMU personnel with knives after a bicycle fall, and two neighbors who resisted police during a dispute. All were taken into custody and processed under applicable legal procedures.

In the nearby town of Sabáudia, police responded to a threat report on 7 June. A man who had threatened a family with a weapon and claimed he would return armed was located after fleeing the scene, resisted the police approach, and was subsequently arrested and sent for medical evaluation.
