Brazil police raid drug network in Governador Valadares, arrest 12
On June 10, the Integrated Force Against Organized Crime in Minas Gerais (FICCO/MG) launched Operation "Fim da Linha" in Governador Valadares, Minas Gerais. The raid, a continuation of Operation Impacto Final that began after authorities seized about 18 kg of cocaine, resulted in the temporary detention of 12 suspected members of a drug‑trafficking organization and the execution of 11 search and seizure warrants. Police recovered additional narcotics, cash, vehicles, precision scales, electronic devices and equipment used to produce drugs. Investigators described the group as hierarchically structured, employing coded language, intermediaries and multiple properties to conceal activities. The operation is part of the broader state‑wide Operation Cerco Fechado, coordinated by the Federal Police together with the state Civil, Military and Penal police and the National Penitentiary Policies Secretariat. Authorities indicated that the investigation will continue to identify further participants and possible links to other states.
