Jataí road seizure: over 100 kg of drugs seized by Brazilian police

On July 10, 2026, the Polícia Rodoviária Federal (PRF) stopped a Citroën C3 Aircross traveling at high speed on the BR‑060 at km 460 near Jataí, Goiás. The vehicle, driven by a 31‑year‑old man who said he was heading from Campo Grande to Goiânia, and a 29‑year‑old passenger, was inspected after the driver delayed complying with the stop order. Police found boxes of narcotics in the trunk, totaling about 108 kg: roughly 52 kg of marijuana, 50 kg of cocaine base paste, 4 kg of hashish and 2 kg of skunk. Almost R$ 10 000 in cash and the vehicle were also seized. Both occupants were arrested on drug‑trafficking charges and transferred to the Jataí Civil Police Station for further investigation.
