Brazil police seize drugs and arrest thieves in separate operations

In the municipality of Bandeirantes, Brazil, the Military Police carried out several actions on 9 June 2026. Officers apprehended a 40‑year‑old man with an outstanding arrest warrant, arrested a 36‑year‑old woman after a robbery attempt in which a male assailant demanded her cellphone, and seized multiple quantities of marijuana and crack in two separate drug‑trafficking raids. The raids also uncovered a cache of cash, scales, and packaging materials used for drug distribution.

In Pontes and Lacerda, Mato Grande do Sul, the Civil Police arrested a 33‑year‑old fugitive from Paraná who faced a pending sentence for vehicle robbery and kidnapping. The suspect, known as “Colombiano,” was caught while attempting to sell stolen goods. Police recovered professional tools, a laser level, and electronic equipment linked to the thefts. The man was placed in custody and booked for qualified reception of stolen property.
