Brazil police seize drugs and firearms in two separate raids

In João Monlevade, Minas Gerais, police arrested a 21‑year‑old suspect after a drug‑trafficking operation uncovered a .22 caliber revolver, 37 cartridges, cocaine, crack, marijuana, cash and other paraphernalia. The suspect confessed to possessing the weapon and dealing narcotics and was taken to the civil police.

In Alta Floresta, Mato Grosso, a 26‑year‑old man was detained following a police raid prompted by a tracked missing cellphone. Officers recovered the phone and seized two portions of marijuana and a pack used for cocaine, then transferred the suspect and evidence to the civil police.

Both operations were carried out by the state Military Police and resulted in the seizure of illegal drugs and, in one case, a firearm.
