Brazil police seize drugs in Nova Serrana and Nova Monte Verde

In Nova Serrana, Minas Gerais, the municipal guard arrested a 22‑year‑old woman and a 24‑year‑old man on July 9, 2026, after receiving a tip about drug activity. Officers seized 33 crack stones, two marijuana buds, R$540 in cash and a mobile phone, and the suspects were taken to the local police station for investigation.

In Nova Monte Verde, Mato Grosso, military police detained a 23‑year‑old woman on July 10, 2026, during a patrol. They confiscated more than 120 portions of cocaine (including base paste and powdered cocaine), three precision scales and R$59. A one‑year‑old child found at the residence was placed under the care of the child‑protection council. Both cases were forwarded to the civil police for further inquiry.
