Brazil police seize drugs, weapons and cash in arrests in Mato Grosso and Rondônia

Police forces in Brazil arrested two separate drug suspects in the states of Mato Grosso and Rondônia. In Rondonópolis, Mato Grosso, a 22‑year‑old man was detained after police found R$15,066 in cash, a shotgun, a tablet of coca‑pasta, 35 portions of marijuana and 24 portions of cocaine, along with precision scales and credit‑card machines. He had prior robbery convictions and was taken to the local judicial police station.

In Vilhena, Rondônia, a motorcyclist with an extensive criminal record attempted a high‑speed escape, riding on sidewalks and the wrong side of the road before crashing into a car. He smashed his phone to destroy evidence and was later caught with R$500 in cash and three portions of crack. He was charged with drug trafficking and dangerous driving and transferred to a public security unit.
