Brazil police seize illegal firearms in Feira de Santana and Caucaia
In Feira de Santana, Bahia, police arrested a man who pointed a .380 pistol at officers during an attempt to intervene at a sound‑system party. The suspect fled, was later surrounded, surrendered, and his firearm, a loaded magazine and 14 rounds were seized. The crowd at the event became hostile, overturning a police vehicle, and officers used pepper spray to disperse the group.
In Caucaia, Ceará, a police tactical unit responded to a citizen report of threats near a commercial area. After a pursuit, the suspect abandoned his vehicle and was apprehended. Officers recovered a 9 mm pistol, a magazine with 17 rounds, the vehicle, a mobile phone and other items. The man was charged with illegal possession of a restricted firearm and threat.
