Brazil police seize rifles in Piraí do Sul and arrest couple for drug delivery in Arapongas

In the rural district of Martelo in Piraí do Sul, Paraná, police acted on a community report of gunfire. Officers from the Rural Patrol and the Military Police searched the forested area, found no suspects, but recovered two abandoned shotguns—a .32 with four shells and a .22 with five shells—along with a bag of ammunition. The firearms were sent to the local Civil Police station for forensic examination.

In Arapongas, Paraná, municipal guard (ROMU) officers detained a man and woman after a tip that a red Honda CG motorcycle was being used to transport drugs in a delivery‑style operation. The couple used a thermal delivery bag to conceal the narcotics. During the stop, the woman voluntarily surrendered 41 packets of drugs weighing about 33 g, and officers seized R$650 in cash and the motorcycle. Both suspects were taken to the regional police station for processing.
