Brazil police seize multiple illegal motorcycles in various states
In Itanhaém, the Military Police stopped two fast‑moving motorcycles on the Padre Manoel da Nóbrega highway, discovering one with a tampered chassis that had been stolen from neighboring Mongaguá. The rider was arrested for vehicle theft and the bike was returned to its owner.
In Cambira, Santa Catarina, officers intercepted a rider without a driver's licence operating a Yamaha YBR 125K that had been officially withdrawn from circulation by the state traffic authority. The motorcycle was seized and taken to the DETRAN depot.
A separate chase in Arapiraca, Alagoas, involved an unlicensed motorcyclist who fled police, entered oncoming traffic and collided with a patrol vehicle before being apprehended. The rider received a new citation for driving without a licence and endangering public safety.
In Marumbi, Paraná, the special motorcycle support unit (Rocam) recovered a Honda Biz that had been reported stolen in 2022. The vehicle showed a deliberately altered chassis number before being returned to its rightful owner.
During a routine traffic inspection in Jardim Bandeirantes, Arapongas, police impounded a motorcycle with multiple safety violations, including a worn‑out tire, missing mirror and non‑compliant exhaust, after confirming the rider’s licence was valid.
