Brazil Police Target Cocaine Networks at Guarulhos Airport and Ilhabela

The Federal Police launched Operations "Além Mares" and "Kokainlieferung" at Guarulhos International Airport, investigating three outsourced airport employees alleged to have facilitated the international transport of cocaine. The actions followed earlier seizures of cocaine shipments in Lisbon, Portugal and Frankfurt, Germany, and included searches, seizures and precautionary measures under federal court orders.

Separately, the Civil Police in Ilhabela arrested a man accused of selling high‑purity cocaine to tourists and local residents. The two‑week investigation led to a raid that recovered portions of cocaine, cash, a precision scale, packaging materials, a card‑payment machine and a cellphone. The suspect was taken into custody and handed over to the local justice system.
