Brazil poll workers essential for 2026 elections
Election poll workers (mesários) in Brazil are regarded as vital to the organization, security and transparency of the voting process. The Tribunal Superior Eleitoral (TSE) says they will continue to serve in the 2026 elections, operating the voting tables (mesas receptoras de votos, MRVs) that receive voters and enable electronic voting.
