Brazil prepares for All Souls' Day consumer activity

As All Souls' Day approaches on November 2, various sectors in Brazil are preparing for increased consumer activity. In Campinas, the Ceasa Flower Market anticipates a sales growth of 25% to 30% compared to the previous year. Vendors are stocking up on popular varieties such as chrysanthemums, calandivas, and kalanchoes to meet the tradition of honoring deceased loved ones.

In Aracaju, Procon has released a price monitoring report to assist consumers with expense planning. The survey, conducted in late October, revealed significant price variations in cemetery services and funeral products. Burial fees ranged from R$ 260 to R$ 800, while exhumation services showed a wide gap between R$ 600 and R$ 2,000. Flower wreaths also showed price differences based on size, with small models starting at R$ 180 and large arrangements reaching R$ 420. Funeral plans were found to have monthly fees ranging from R$ 49.90 to R$ 230.
