Brazil President Lula ramps up inaugurations ahead of elections

In Espírito Santana, Governor Ricardo Ferraço, a pre‑candidate for re‑election, conducted nine inauguration events on the final day allowed for pre‑candidates, including roads, a bridge, a police unit and sports facilities. He notably avoided the opening of a new Federal Institute campus built with PAC funds, a decision described as politically motivated. Both leaders used visible project completions to bolster voter appeal as Brazil’s election deadline approaches.
