President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva and Vice‑President Geraldo Alckmin met with federal deputy Adriana Accorsi (PT) and state legislator Aava Santiago (PSB) in Brasília. Lula indicated he is interested in including both women on the majoritarian ticket in the state of Goiás, with Accorsi slated for a gubernatorial run and Santiago for the Senate. The discussion emphasized the role of women in the progressive coalition and suggested that the President would provide political support if the candidates are selected.

The meeting was attended by PT national leader Edinho Silva and highlighted the party’s alliance with PCdoB, PV, PSB, PSol, Rede and PDT as they coordinate candidate selections for upcoming elections in Goiás.
