Brazil probes Spribe OÜ over unauthorized Aviator gambling game

The National Consumer Secretariat (Senacon) has opened a preliminary investigation into Estonian company Spribe OÜ, the developer of the online crash‑style game Aviator. The probe seeks to determine whether Spribe provided sufficient safeguards to stop unlicensed operators from offering the game in Brazil, after a complaint from the Federal District and Territories Public Ministry indicated the game was available on illegal betting platforms. Senacon Secretary Ricardo Morishita warned that failing to implement basic verification mechanisms could lower compliance costs for operators, increase revenue, and shift illicit‑activity risks onto consumers and the state.

At the same time, Brazil’s online betting market continues to expand, with platforms such as Esportes da Sorte promoting the use of the instant payment system Pix for deposits and withdrawals.
