Brazil pushes organic recycling with new law and shredding tech
The Brazilian Senate approved Law 15394/2026, a measure backed by Senator Giordano of the Podemos party, to strengthen the country’s recycling chain. The legislation provides greater legal certainty for cooperatives, waste‑pickers and companies that invest in the reuse of materials, aiming to expand selective collection, create jobs and reduce the amount of waste sent to landfills.
