São Paulo lifts tolls on major highways, Anchieta‑Imigrantes included, July 1

From midnight on 1 July, the São Paulo state government and the Artesp regulator will raise tolls on most concession‑managed highways. The average increase for contracts signed before 2017 is 4.72 % of the previous price, based on the accumulated IPCA inflation between June 2025 and May 2026.

The Anchieta‑Imigrantes system – the main link to the coast – will rise 4.91 % to R$ 40.60 (from R$ 38.70), keeping it the most expensive toll in Brazil. The Rodovia dos Tamoios will see a provisional 5.08 % rise, while other corridors such as Anhanguera‑Bandeirantes, Intervias, CART, SPMAR and the Rodoanel Oeste will follow the 4.72 % rule.

Several interior plazas will see reductions; for example, the toll at Jaguariúna on SP‑340 will be cut from R$ 17.60 to R$ 8.80, a 50 % drop, and other plazas in Águas da Prata, Estiva Gerbi and nearby towns will also be lowered.

The planned free‑flow electronic collection on Anchieta‑Imigrantes has been postponed after Ecovias cited ongoing tests and pending Artesp approval. When implemented, the system will split the current single‑direction charge into two equal R$ 19.35 payments, but the start date remains undefined.
