Brazil ranks 16th in OECD Digital Government Index

Brazil ranks 16th in the Digital Government Index developed by the OECD, according to a survey by Insper. The country maintains a relevant global position, with qualifications above the average of OECD member nations.

Key digital milestones cited include the electronic voting machine, adopted in 1996, and the Transparency Portal, established in 2004 to increase public sector oversight. Manuel Bonduki, a professor at Insper, suggests that the next stage of digital transformation involves integrating information to offer more proactive services, moving beyond simply digitizing paper processes toward complete procedural reform.

In the corporate sector, digital transformation is driving the need for efficient document management. Tools such as the OnlyDoc platform are being used to automate corporate processes, including converting PDF files into professional presentations.
