Brazil ranks as third largest Americas market for Italian food

Brazil has become the third largest market in the Americas for Italian food and beverages, trailing only the United States and Canada. This trend was highlighted during the Apas Show 2025 in São Paulo, the largest supermarket trade fair in Latin America.

Data from the Italian Agency for Foreign Trade (ICE) indicates that Italian exports to Brazil grew by 6.96% in 2024, maintaining a steady upward trajectory since 2020. The growth is attributed to the increasing demand for high-quality products and the rising popularity of Italian cuisine in the Brazilian market.

At the Apas Show, 17 Italian companies participated in an official stand organized by ICE and supported by the Italian Embassy. The exhibition featured a variety of certified ‘Made in Italy’ products, including olive oils, pastas, vinegars, truffles, and specialty coffees from regions such as Piedmont, Veneto, Lazio, Campania, and Puglia.
