Brazil real estate sales grow in first half of 2026

The Brazilian real estate market saw growth in new residential property sales during the first half of 2026. According to data from the Brazilian Chamber of the Construction Industry (CBIC), 226,536 units were sold between January and June, representing a 5.4% increase compared to the same period in 2025.

In the second quarter of 2026, sales reached 113,676 units, a 0.7% increase from the first quarter of the year and a 5.3% rise compared to the second quarter of 2025. While sales grew across all regions, the Center-West region saw the highest expansion at 27.7%, followed by the North at 15% and the Northeast at 13.6%.

In contrast, new property launches remained relatively stable. Between April and June 2026, 107,161 units were launched, a 2.6% increase from the previous quarter but a 1.3% decrease compared to the same period in 2025. Total launches for the first half of 2026 stood at 211,651 units, a slight 0.3% decrease from the 212,338 units recorded in the first half of 2025.
