Brazil records three homicide deaths in Rio Grande do Norte and Mato Grosso

Three separate homicide incidents were reported in Brazil. In Umarizal, Rio Grande do Norte, 24‑year‑old Caio Matheus Costa Morais was found dead near a large stone bearing blood marks. Police isolated the area and sent the body to the Institute of Medical Legal for examination while the Civil Police opened an investigation.

In the central district of Cuiabá, a man wearing an electronic anklet, identified as Edvaldo Silva de Jesus, was discovered with a severe neck wound compatible with strangulation inside an abandoned house. The scene was secured, and forensic teams from Politec and the Civil Police began evidence collection.

In Juara, Mato Grosso, 51‑year‑old Venezuelan Alejandro Elpidio was found with a knife lodged in his neck inside a kitnet in the Alvorada neighborhood. Police entered the residence after a homicide call, recovered the weapon, and detained a suspect who was hospitalized with injuries. The case is under investigation by the local Police Civil division.

All three cases remain under police investigation, with forensic examinations pending to determine the motives and identify any perpetrators.
