Brazil records two electric scooter and bike crashes injuring riders in Arapongas and Vilhena
A 17‑year‑old teenager was injured in Arapongas, Brazil, after a pickup truck struck his electric scooter on an elevated crossing near the city bus terminal. The rider, who was not wearing a helmet, suffered a head laceration‑contusion and was taken to Honpar I for medical evaluation. The driver remained at the scene to assist until emergency services arrived.
In Vilhena, Rondônia, a cyclist riding an electric bike collided with a Volkswagen Virtus at a busy intersection. Although the cyclist wore a helmet, it came off during the crash, resulting in injuries to the shoulder, right leg and head. The victim was treated by the fire department and transported to the regional hospital for further care. Both incidents prompted police presence and investigations into the circumstances of the accidents.
