Brazil refurbishes UBS Piçarreira and Campo Belo health centers

Starting Monday, 6 July, the Unidade Básica de Saúde (UBS) Piçarreira in the eastern zone of Teresina will undergo structural renovations costing about R$140,430. Primary‑care services and staff are being temporarily transferred to nearby UBS Santa Isabel, while the Regional Health Coordination will operate from UBS Vila Bandeirantes. The overhaul includes new flooring, roof repair, door and window replacement, upgraded electrical and plumbing systems, general painting and accessibility improvements.

In Limeira, São Paulo, the pharmacy of UBS Campo Belo will be closed from 6 to 8 July for similar renovation work. All other medical, nursing and vaccination services will continue as usual. Patients needing routine medicines are directed to other municipal pharmacies, and those requiring controlled substances must use the pharmacy at UBS Jardim Nova Europa. The closure also covers the public holidays on 9 and 10 July.
