Goiás exports reach US$ 1.14 billion in August

Goiás recorded a trade flow of US$ 1.7 billion in August, driven by strong performance in the agribusiness, mining, and industrial sectors. Exports reached US$ 1.14 billion, marking the fourth consecutive month that the state's monthly exports have exceeded the US$ 1 billion threshold.

Soybean sales led the export list at US$ 396.1 million, followed by beef at US$ 143.6 million and copper ore concentrates at US$ 119.6 million. China remains the state's primary trading partner for both exports and imports.

On the import side, immunological products totaled US$ 168.3 million, reflecting a reliance on international markets for high-complexity technological inputs for the health sector. The Federation of Industries of the State of Goiás (Fieg) is promoting international business rounds in October to further integrate local industries with global markets, including buyers from Uruguay, Chile, and other South American nations.
