Brazil releases June Bolsa Família payment calendar

The Brazilian government has published the June payment schedule for the Bolsa Família program, which supports around 18.9 million families (about 48 million people). Payments are staggered by the final digit of each family's Social Identification Number (NIS): NIS 1 on June 17, NIS 2 on June 18, NIS 3 on June 19, NIS 4 on June 22, NIS 5 on June 23, NIS 6 on June 24, NIS 7 on June 25, NIS 8 on June 26, NIS 9 on June 29 and NIS 0 on June 30.

Each family receives a base amount of R$ 600. Additional supplements are available: R$ 150 for each child under six years old (Benefício Primeira Infância) and R$ 50 for pregnant women, children and adolescents aged 7‑18, and nursing mothers (Benefício Variável Familiar). Beneficiaries can access funds through the Caixa Tem app, debit card transactions, ATMs, lottery houses or Caixa Aqui agents, all without fees. The Ministry of Development and Social Assistance urges families to keep their CadÚnico registration up to date and to meet program conditionalities such as school attendance and health monitoring to avoid payment interruptions.
