Brazil sees spate of fatal road accidents across multiple states

In Mato Grosso, a 44‑year‑old driver from Ji‑Paraná was killed when two freight trucks collided on the MT‑320 near the Rio Alagado bridge. A 20‑year‑old motorcyclist was fatally injured after losing control and hitting a light post in Três Lagoas, Mato Grosso do Sul. A pregnant woman and her newborn died in a crash near Anastácio, and a father with two daughters were killed in a head‑on collision in Santo Antônio da Platina. Additional incidents include a motorcyclist run‑over by a carriage on the Anchieta Highway in Cubatão, a woman and her 13‑year‑old son killed on a three‑vehicle crash in Arapongas, and a four‑year‑old child who died after a pickup veered into a tree in Santa Fé. Separate from Brazil, a separate accident in Denmark raised the death toll in that region to three. These events have resulted in multiple fatalities and injuries, prompting police investigations and road closures on several major highways.
