Man shot dead after being forced out of clinic in Feira de Santana, Brazil

On Thursday, 9 July, 20‑year‑old Raimundo de Souza Santana Júnior was killed by gunfire after being forcibly removed from the George Américo Polyclinic in Feira de Santana, about 100 km north of Salvador. Security cameras recorded the victim waiting for medical assistance, three suspects entering the clinic, dragging him outside and opening fire, resulting in his death at the scene.

The incident prompted a response from the municipal government, which deployed the municipal guard to secure the area and provided video footage to the Civil Police for investigation. The 65th Independent Military Police Company was also called to the scene. The victim’s body was taken to the technical police department for autopsy, and the homicide division continues to investigate the perpetrators and their possible motive.

Authorities have not yet identified or arrested the suspects, and the case remains under active police inquiry.
