Brazil reports two separate homicides in Rondonia and Minas Gerais

A man whose identity has not been released was discovered dead on the side of Estrada dos Periquitos in the Ulisses Guimarães neighbourhood of Porto Velho, Rondonia, on the night of 3 May. Police and emergency responders found his hands and feet bound and a large amount of blood at the scene, prompting an investigation by the specialized homicide division and forensic examination by the Institute of Medical Legal.

In Viçosa, Minas Gerais, a 54‑year‑old construction worker was shot dead on a rural property in the Sítio Paiol area on 1 May. Police were alerted after the victim was found with multiple gunshot wounds near a side road. Shell casings of .380 and .45 calibers were recovered, and the case is being investigated by the Military Police and Civil Police forensic team. No suspects have been arrested in either case.
