Brazil rolls out DF Social aid and Bolsa Família July payments
The Distrito Federal will begin disbursing the DF Social cash assistance, granting R$150 each month to families whose per‑capita income is at most half a minimum wage. Eligibility requires registration in the Cadastro Único, automatic inclusion based on data cross‑checks, and opening a free social account with Banco de Brasília (BRB). Priority is given to former DF Sem Miséria participants, single‑parent households headed by women, families with children under six, persons with disabilities, the elderly and people living on the streets.
At the national level, the Bolsa Família program’s July payment schedule starts on 20 July, with deposits made according to the last digit of each family's NIS. The benefit guarantees a minimum of R$600 per family, supplemented by R$150 for each child up to six years old and R$50 for pregnant or nursing women, as well as adolescents. Payments are transferred directly to accounts at Caixa Econômica Federal and can be accessed via the Caixa Tem app, program cards, or authorized cash points.
