Brazil Secures New Sanitary Certificates for Fruit and Meat Exports to China and Other Markets

China's General Administration of Customs (GACC) has released a model sanitary certificate for frozen Brazilian fruit pulps and fruits, allowing exporters to register through the China Import Food Enterprise Registration (CIFER) system. The registration grants a number required for shipments, which must be accompanied by an official bilateral sanitary certificate. Eligible products include açaí, mango, guava, pineapple, passion fruit and other fruits already recognized as food in China.

In parallel, China signed a sanitary protocol authorising exports of Brazilian bovine bile. Paraguay approved an International Sanitary Certificate (CSI) for live pigs destined for slaughter, and Palau approved CSI models for beef, sheep, goat and pork exports. These steps collectively open additional markets for Brazilian agricultural products in China, Paraguay and Palau.
