Brazil security investments include new fire stations in Mato Grosso and Paraná

The government of Mato Grosso has signed an agreement worth R$ 130 million to construct 22 integrated security units across the state. These facilities, which will house both the Military Police and the Fire Department, are planned for several locations, including Guarantã do Norte, Colíder, and Peixoto de Azevedo. Each unit is expected to cover approximately 1,200 square meters, with an estimated investment of R$ 2.5 million per station.

In the state of Paraná, officials have highlighted the necessity of a new headquarters for the Fire Department in Apucarana. Major Callegari, commander of the 11th Military Firefighters Battalion, noted that the current facility, which has operated since 1978, faces significant limitations regarding personnel housing, available space, and the deployment of large vehicles. The new headquarters is intended to improve response capabilities for Apucarana and the 19 other municipalities in the Vale do Ivaí region.
