Brazil sees corporate clothing donation and urgent blood drive to support local hospitals
The agribusiness firm Vitalforce donated roughly 500 kilograms of new uniforms to the Hospital de Amor in Barretos, Brazil. The clothing will be customized and sold in the hospital’s bazaar to help fund its oncology and other services, which treat over 600,000 patients annually.
Separately, the Municipal Hemotherapy Service in Macaé launched an urgent appeal for blood donors after its stock of O‑negative units fell critically low. The campaign urges residents of all blood types to donate at the service’s facility to keep transfusion services available for emergency, surgical and oncology patients throughout the city and neighboring municipalities.
