Brazil sees new semaglutide pen launch and upbeat Pague Menos stock outlook

Ávita Care announced it will import and distribute a new semaglutide‑based weight‑loss injection pen from the Maltese pharmaceutical firm Adalvo, with Brazilian partner Sandoz handling commercialization. The company expects ANVISA to grant approval by June, positioning the product as a more affordable GLP‑1 alternative in Brazil's post‑patent market.

Safra Bank cut its price target for pharmacy chain Pague Menos to R$6.50 but kept a buy recommendation, projecting a 66% upside in the next 12 months. Analysts cite strong EBITDA margins, operational improvements and resilient profitability despite modest sales growth and a tougher macro‑economic backdrop.
