Brazil sees surge in home‑buying demand, Europa Investimentos reports
Brazilian families continue to view owning a home as a primary goal, yet higher interest rates and greater financial awareness are reshaping how they pursue this asset. Europa Investimentos reports a noticeable rise in consumers looking for organized, strategic and financially secure pathways to purchase their first home or upgrade their residence.
The central bank’s Selic rate directly affects mortgage costs, making credit more expensive when rates are elevated. At the same time, Brazil faces a substantial housing deficit, according to Fundação João Pinheiro, indicating that millions still seek access to a home. Despite this, the residential property market remains resilient, with the FipeZAP index showing price appreciation in many cities.
Consumers are now conducting deeper research, comparing financing options and seeking professional guidance to match acquisition methods with their budgets and life goals. "A casa própria continua sendo um grande sonho, mas hoje o consumidor planeja essa conquista com mais estratégia e segurança financeira," said Jeliades Dias, commercial director of Europa Investimentos.
