Brazil selects Under‑16 tennis teams for South American Championships in Bogotá

The Brazilian Tennis Confederation announced the male and female squads that will represent Brazil at the Under‑16 South American Championships, to be held from 3 to 8 August in Bogotá, Colombia.

The women’s team comprises Larissa Silenci, Maria Eduarda Carbone and Nathalia Tourinho, led by captain Maisa Feital. The men’s team includes Henrique Vialle, Livas Damazio and Victor Pignaton, with Rodrigo Ferreiro as captain. Both teams aim to qualify for the Junior Davis Cup (men) and the Billie Jean King Cup (women), the global junior team competitions. The federation highlighted the challenge of Bogotá’s altitude and the experience of the athletes as key factors. Brazil won the Junior Davis Cup in 2023.

The tournament will feature the top under‑16 national teams from South America, serving as the primary pathway to the world junior events.
