However, the proposal faces opposition from business sectors. Fecomércio-SP warns that the change will increase operational costs for commerce and services, potentially leading to higher consumer prices. The entity suggests that the 40-hour general regime should coexist with special regimes established through collective bargaining. The final vote in the Senate plenary is expected to take place after the election period.
