Brazil Senator Ciro Nogueira linked to lavish gifts from banker Daniel Vorcaro
Brazil’s Federal Police released a report outlining a corrupt relationship between Senator Ciro Nogueira (PP) and Daniel Vorcaro, owner of Banco Master. The investigation found Vorcaro provided the senator with extensive "mimos," including private jet flights, luxury hotel suites, high‑end restaurant meals and clothing for international trips. Documented expenses exceed a conservative estimate of R$ 500,000, with specific charges such as a US$ 1,981.12 restaurant bill in France, a US$ 47,779.80 Park Hyatt New York suite, a R$ 91,200 trip to Lisbon and ski trips to the French Alps costing over R$ 1.8 million. Police described the arrangement as "functional and instrumental, structured around illicit interests," suggesting the favors were exchanged for political advantage.
