Brazil sets 2026 deadline for Rural Territorial Property Tax

The deadline for the 2026 Rural Territorial Property Tax (DITR) declaration is set for September 30, 2026. For this cycle, the use of the DITR Web platform has become mandatory for legal entities and rural property owners with areas exceeding 100 hectares.

Developed by Serpro for the Receita Federal, the web-based tool allows taxpayers to fill out, transmit, rectify, and consult declarations via computer, tablet, or mobile device without requiring software installation. Access requires a gov.br account at the Silver or Gold level. New features for 2026 include batch importation of declarations for taxpayers with multiple rural properties and integrated payment options via Pix, credit card, or TED.

In Dourados, the municipal government has also alerted taxpayers to the deadline, noting that local tax inspection activities are underway through an agreement with the Receita Federal. Failure to submit the declaration within the timeframe will result in a late filing penalty (MAED).
