Brazil sets November 3 deadline for first-round election accounts
Candidates and political parties participating in the first round of the 2026 elections must submit their final campaign financial reports to the Electoral Justice system by November 3. This deadline covers the reporting of all collected and spent financial resources, including those valued in cash.
Candidates who did not advance to the second round must also transfer remaining campaign funds to their respective party organs and return any unused funds from the Special Campaign Financing Fund (FEFC) to the National Treasury.
For the 2026 elections, reporting will be conducted through the CONTA+JE system developed by the Superior Electoral Court (TSE). The updated platform features a web version, improved authentication, and integration with the Annual Accountability System (SPCA). The new system eliminates the need for physical media submissions and allows access via gov.br or e-Título to enhance security and traceability.
Candidates participating in the second round have until November 14 to present their final accounts.
