Brazil student wears political headpiece for school event

An 8-year-old student in Acre, Brazil, drew attention during a school 'crazy hair day' by wearing a political accessory. Sophia Emanuelle, a third-grade student at Escola Estadual Luísa Batista de Souza, wore a box on her head featuring political imagery.

The accessory depicted former President Jair Bolsonaro and his allies at the top, while a figure of President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva appeared at the bottom wearing a striped prisoner uniform.

Sophia’s mother, Katiussi Melo, stated that the idea originated from the child herself. According to Melo, the student has supported Bolsonaro since childhood and expressed a desire to protest the current state of the country through the school activity. The mother noted that while she suggested more traditional hairstyles, the student was insistent on her chosen design.
