Brazil's Auxílio-Inclusão Gives Half Minimum Wage to Disabled Workers

The Auxílio-Inclusão program, created by Law No. 14,176/2021, provides people with disabilities who receive the Benefício de Prestação Continuada (BPC) and enter formal employment with a monthly supplement of R$ 810.50 in 2026 – equivalent to 50 % of the minimum wage. The benefit can be combined with earned wages as long as total income does not exceed two minimum wages (R$ 3 242). eligibility requires a moderate or severe disability, prior receipt of BPC, an up‑to‑date CadÚnico registration, a regular CPF and compliance with income limits. Applications are submitted online via the Meu INSS portal or mobile app, with required documentation uploaded through the platform.

The measure aims to reduce the fear that disabled workers might lose financial support when seeking formal jobs, encouraging labor‑market inclusion while maintaining a safety net for those who continue to meet the program’s criteria.
