Brazil's Federal Police reject Vorcaro's second delation proposal
Brazil's Federal Police (PF) and the Prosecutor General's Office (PGR) are reviewing a second delation (collaboration) proposal submitted by Daniel Vorcaro, the former owner of Banco Master. Investigators say the new material, although more extensive, contains no fresh facts or evidence that would advance Operation Compliance Zero, which probes alleged multibillion‑real fraud involving Banco Master, the Bank of Brasília (BRB), and related companies.
Both agencies have indicated that the proposal is “weak” and are likely to reject it, with a decision expected within the week. The PGR remains cautious, continuing its analysis, while the PF plans to shift focus to testimonies from other suspects, such as former BRB president Paulo Henrique Costa and other members of Vorcuro’s network. Vorcaro, who is held in a special cell at the Federal Police headquarters, and his lawyers argue the submission includes new details about political payments and a film project, but investigators maintain the content repeats information already extracted from seized phones.
If the proposal is denied, Vorcaro’s cooperation will not be counted on to resolve the broader fraud case, and the investigation will proceed without his testimony.
