Brazil Tackles AI-Driven Employee Data Leaks and Legal Ethics

A study by Northeastern University suggests that companies using employee‑ monitoring software may be passing personal digital habits to large technology and advertising firms, raising questions about who bears legal responsibility for the leaks.

The Federal Council of the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB) is responding to similar AI concerns by hosting a hybrid event titled “Disruptive Lawyering: Ethical Challenges, Risks and AI Management in Daily Practice.” The meeting will bring together OAB leaders, judiciary officials and data‑protection experts to discuss responsibilities, data security and the ethical limits of artificial‑intelligence tools in legal work.
