Brazil targets Iquique Port to boost Bioceanic Corridor trade

A Brazilian delegation, led by Cálicles Mânica of the National Land Transport Agency (ANTT), visited the Port of Iquique in Chile to strengthen cargo flow through the Bioceanic Corridor.

During the visit, officials met with leadership from Empresa Portuaria Iquique (EPI) and Iquique Terminal Internacional (ITI) to discuss infrastructure, berth availability, and expansion projects. The discussions focused on streamlining customs procedures and utilizing the local Free Trade Zone (Zofri) as a strategic logistics hub to add value to goods moving between the Atlantic and Pacific oceans.
