Brazil: Teenagers detained after fleeing police in Cruzeiro do Sul and Pardinho

In Cruzeiro do Sul, Acre, a 17‑year‑old identified as K P S resisted a police stop, physically confronting officers, insulting a sergeant and threatening another. Police detained the teen and also arrested his 38‑year‑old mother after she confronted the officers and attempted to intervene. The operation followed a tip about armed individuals near a local sawmill.

In the municipality of Pardinho, São Paulo, police stopped a teen riding an unregistered motorcycle during the Saint Christopher procession. The youngster accelerated, ignored stop signals and performed dangerous maneuvers before being pursued into the rural zone, where officers finally apprehended him. The adolescent’s mother was summoned, the bike was seized, and the teen received routine medical care before being released to his guardian.
