Portugal releases national exam results and reassessment scores

Portugal's Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation (MECI) has released the results for the second phase of national exams and the reassessment requests from the first phase. This year, reassessment requests saw a significant surge, exceeding 20,000—more than triple the previous year's volume.

While many schools received results as planned, some institutions, particularly in major cities, experienced delays in receiving reassessment outcomes. MECI has assured that no student will be prevented from applying to higher education due to these administrative delays. Following the publication, students have a three-day window to adjust their higher education applications.

The government is also evaluating the transition to digital exam evaluation. Minister Fernando Alexandre stated that the National Council of Education will conduct an independent assessment of the digital model by the end of the year to weigh its advantages and disadvantages. While the first phase faced technical issues that delayed initial results, the second phase proceeded with improved stability.
