The match follows Brazil’s two friendlies against Australia on 25 and 29 September 2026 and comes as India also prepares for the inaugural FIFA ASEAN Cup, creating a scheduling challenge. Hosting costs are estimated at 600‑700 million rupees (≈ 6‑7 million USD), and the announcement has already generated huge excitement on social media.
