Brazil to Host FIFAe Continental Championship in Rio

From 21 to 23 August, the Confederação Brasileira de Futebol (CBF) will stage the FIFAe Continental Championship at the Nave do Conhecimento in Rio de Janeiro. Fourteen teams from six South American nations will compete in three game modes – eFootball Mobile, eFootball Console and Rocket League – for qualification to the FIFAe World Cup. The Brazilian eSeleção enters as the favorite in all three disciplines, having dominated the recent FIFAe Nations League.

The tournament follows the CBF’s 2026 High‑Performance Program for the eSeleção, which provides multidisciplinary support comparable to the senior national football squads. CBF president Samir Xaud said the event “reinforces our commitment to bring the Brazilian brand to the digital arena and shows we want to be at the forefront of eSports.”
