Brazil to host world's largest agricultural aviation congress in August

Goianápolis, Goiás, will host the Congresso da Aviação Agrícola do Brasil (AvAg 2026) from 18 to 20 August. The three‑day event, organized by the National Union of Agricultural Aviation Companies (Sindag), will bring together pilots, aircraft manufacturers, drone operators, researchers and technology firms from about 12 countries, including the United States and Canada.

Brazil, with the world's second‑largest fleet of agricultural aircraft—over 2,800 machines—will showcase aircraft valued up to R$ 15 million, precision‑spraying equipment and drones for seeding, fertilising and monitoring crops. Sessions will focus on innovation, operational safety, sustainability, workforce training and the integration of airplanes, helicopters and unmanned aerial systems in large‑scale farming of soy, corn, cotton, sugarcane and planted forests. Registration is free.

Sindag president Hoana Almeida Santos said the congress aims to strengthen commercial partnerships, exchange technical knowledge and promote modern, efficient practices in Brazil's vital agribusiness sector.
